In homage to OMEGA’s legacy of space exploration, the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Black Black” features a 44.25mm case in polished and brushed black ceramic. The brushed bezel is also made of black ceramic and features a laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with black Grand Feu enamel.
Under the sapphire crystal front is a ceramic dial that has been laser-blasted and features a small seconds hand at 9 o'clock, a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o'clock, and a date window at 6 o'clock. All hands and beveled indexes are blackened and filled with black Super-LumiNova (green emission).
The caseback reveals the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9900 automatic calibre, which has a special “black edition” finish including a matte black rotor, main plate and bridges, as well as black lacquered engravings. The watch is worn on a black rubber strap with a lunar-like surface on the underside, a ceramic folding clasp and ceramised titanium springs.
