About us
For lasting relationships
We are happy to be the ones who make people's desires and dreams come true. To be there when the light of joy lights up in the eyes of a customer when they take home a new watch or a piece of jewellery.
The Master Watchmaker
If you take a walk along Prague's Na Příkopě Street, you will see a sign board that has been
looking down on the passing crowds for 30 years among the others famous signs that attract
visitors and shoppers. It belongs to a watch and jewellery shop that has borne the name of
watchmaker Miroslav Dušák since its foundation in 1992.
A renowned master watchmaker with a wealth of experience and an entrepreneurial spirit decided soon after the Velvet Revolution to be the first to offer the Czechs watches of renowned brands and first-class professional service according to Western standards. However, in a historic house on the shopping street, he managed to build more than just a classic luxury goods boutique. With the same passion he investigated the workings of mechanical machines, Mr. Dušák was also interested in the people who wore them day after day. He observed that for many of them watches were not just an investment or a display of social status, but that they become an object with deep personal meaning, a symbol of lasting values or a reminder of life events. It is no wonder that customers who have made good purchases from Mr. Dušák have repeatedly returned to the master watchmaker for this understanding and personal approach. Many of them have passed on their affection for their watchmaker to the next generation, and their children or grandchildren have also come to Dušák for their first watch.
Even today, the Kverka family, descendants of Mr. Dušák, make sure that everyone who crosses the threshold of their shop feels as a member of the large community of watch lovers. The very first visit can be the beginning of a long-term relationship, the value of which will eventually exceed the price of a beautiful new watch on your wrist.
Time passes, the signboards and shop windows of Na Příkopě Street change. But as long as people wear watches and want to share their passion and love with someone, the watch and jewellery shop Dušák will be there for them.
