About us

For lasting relationships

We are delighted to be the ones who make people’s dreams come true. To be there when joy lights up a customer’s eyes as they take home a new watch or piece of jewellery.

The Master Watchmaker

If you take a walk along Prague's Na Příkopě Street, you will notice a sign that has been overlooking the passing crowds for 30 years, alongside other famous signs that attract visitors and shoppers. It is the home of the watch and jewellery shop that has carried the name of watchmaker Miroslav Dušák since its founding in 1992.

A renowned master watchmaker with extensive experience and an entrepreneurial spirit decided, soon after the Velvet Revolution, to be the first in the Czech Republic to offer watches from world-renowned brands and first-class professional service in line with Western standards. Yet, in a historic house on the city’s shopping street, he created more than a typical luxury boutique.

With the same passion he applied to studying mechanical movements, Mr. Dušák was equally fascinated by the people who wore them daily. He observed that for many, watches were not merely an investment or a status symbol, but became objects of deep personal significance, symbols of enduring values, or reminders of life’s milestones.

It is no wonder that customers who have made such meaningful purchases from Mr. Dušák return time and again for his understanding and personal approach. Many have passed their affection for their watchmaker on to the next generation, with their children and grandchildren also coming to Dušák for their first watch.

Even today, the Kverka family, descendants of Mr. Dušák, ensure that everyone who crosses the threshold of their shop feels like a member of the extended community of watch enthusiasts. Even a first visit can mark the beginning of a long-term relationship, whose value ultimately surpasses the price of the exquisite watch on your wrist.

Time passes, and the signboards and shop windows along Na Příkopě Street may change. Yet, as long as people wear watches and wish to share their passion, Dušák watch and jewellery shop will be there for them.
