Rado

The globally recognized watch brand Rado is renowned for its innovative design and pioneering use of revolutionary materials. It was founded in 1917 by the brothers Fritz, Ernest, and Werner Schlup in the Swiss town of Lengnau.

In the early 1960s, Rado launched the legendary DiaStar 1 — the first watch to be highly resistant to scratches. Another milestone came in the 1990s, when the company became the first in watchmaking to use high-tech ceramic. This material offers exceptional scratch resistance, adapts quickly to body temperature, and is hypoallergenic.

In addition to a wide range of high-tech ceramic colors, Rado has introduced the unique Plasma variant, which perfectly imitates the look of metal.
