Description

Since 1998, the Portugieser chronograph has been adding a touch of sporty elegance to the Portugieser collection from IWC Schaffhausen. The vertical arrangement of subdials, typical of the IWC Schaffhausen brand, displays the stopped minutes directly at 12 o'clock, while the small seconds are positioned at 6 o'clock. This arrangement improves legibility and has made the Portugieser chronograph a design icon. Another feature is the inner flange with a printed quarter-second scale, which allows for highly precise stopwatch reading.
