Description
Since 1998, the Portugieser chronograph has been adding a touch of sporty elegance to the Portugieser collection from IWC Schaffhausen. The vertical arrangement of the subdials, typical of IWC Schaffhausen, displays the stopped minutes directly at 12 o'clock and the small seconds at 6 o'clock. This arrangement increases legibility and has made the Portugieser chronograph a design icon. Another feature is the inner flange with a printed quarter-second scale, which allows for highly accurate reading of the stopped time.
