Worn during all six moon landings, the OMEGA Speedmaster is one of OMEGA’s most iconic watches. This special edition draws inspiration from the design of the 1957 original and the collection’s long history in aviation.
The 40.85mm brushed stainless steel watch features a grained matte black dial with a rhodium-plated outer ring and hour markers made of white blocks of Super-LumiNova that emit a green glow.
Its cockpit-inspired display features two subdials with opaline centers and cut facets. At 3 o’clock, there is a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder designed to look like a “burn rate” indicator. It features a triangular matte orange hand and transferred white numerals. At 9 o’clock, there is a small seconds hand designed to look like a target/visibility indicator, featuring a lacquered matte yellow hand and a blue artificial horizon.
The hour/minute hands are matte black with PVD coating and blocks of white Super-LumiNova with green emission. The central chronograph hand has a lacquered orange aviator tip. This Speedmaster Pilot watch has a steel bracelet with ground flat links and OMEGA's patented screw and pin system. It is powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer 9900 coaxial calibre. The watch is presented in a special travel case with a strap change tool and a NATO strap made with KEVLAR® fibers.
