The OMEGA Observatory model represents a pivotal milestone in OMEGA’s pursuit of ultimate precision.
Crafted in a 39.40 mm case of O-Megasteel with polished and brushed finishes, this model features characteristic facetted “dog-leg” lugs and a bezel with sharply cut facets. It is presented on a dark blue leather strap with a polished buckle.
The “Pie-Pan” dial recalls the original 1952 Constellation model with its twelve-sided facets, featuring an applied OMEGA logo and Constellation star. The blue dial has a sun-brushed centre and opaline facets with 8 embossed rhodium-plated ridges. The redesigned dauphine indexes are completely diamond-polished and match the diamond-polished dauphine hands, crafted from 18K white gold.
The watch is powered by the OMEGA Calibre 8914, the world’s first two-handed movement to obtain Master Chronometer certification approved by METAS. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, revealing a rhodium-plated skeletonized rotor decorated with an applied medallion with a laser-engraved Constellation Observatory emblem in contrasting finishes.
