This 43mm Omega Seamaster Worldtimer has a polished stainless steel case powered by a steel mainspring. The outer dial is a sunny blue with vertical teak stripes. The world destinations ring is red (GMT), silver (1h in summer) and blue (places without daylight saving time). The centre of the dial features a 24-hour glass ring, with light blue indicating day and dark blue indicating night. The Earth vision is created on a grade 5 titanium plate. This has been laser-etched to create a blue ocean and leave the relief of the continents. The contrasting colours of the Earth's surface are naturally obtained by a chemical reaction of the laser.
Inside the Omega Seamaster Worldtimer is the Master Chronometer caliber 8938. The watch is certified by the Swiss metrology institute METAS. In practice, this means that each piece of the watch is individually tested in different positions, temperatures and magnetism. Under all these conditions, the watch must demonstrate its anti-magnetic properties of 15,000 gauss, a given water resistance, a power reserve and a maximum deviation of 0 to 5 seconds per day. This is currently one of the strictest limits.
