The original OMEGA Railmaster from 1957 was a simple, practical yet elegant timepiece designed for railway workers or anyone who worked near electrical fields. Today, this spirit of innovation has been carried over into an updated model that once again expands the capabilities of the Railmaster.
The symmetrical 40mm stainless steel case features a wavy design on the caseback. The vertically brushed black dial features brushed stainless steel hands and recessed hour markers filled with “vintage” Super-LumiNova. There is also a beige “Railmaster” indicator that is transferred for a classic touch.
The watch features a fully brushed and integrated stainless steel bracelet and the orientated case back features the NAIAD LOCK design (patent pending) to keep the inscription in a vertical position. The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8806. Certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) at the highest level in the industry and capable of withstanding magnetism of 15,000 gauss, this Railmaster model recalls the excellent anti-magnetic properties of its predecessor.
