The IWC Portofino Chronograph 39 Edition "Laureus Sport for Good" is the 16th special edition that IWC has launched in collaboration with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Laureus Sport for Good operates in more than 50 countries and supports over 250 programs worldwide. These programs use sport to change the lives of children and young people. Their goal is to promote social change and end violence and discrimination.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, this chronograph has a stainless steel case with a comfortable 39-millimeter diameter. The dial in the typical Laureus blue contrasts with rhodium-plated hands and indexes. The watch is mounted on a black calfskin strap. The case back is engraved with the winning entry from the drawing competition that IWC holds annually as part of all Laureus programs. The drawing depicts hands joined as equals and was created by 15-year-old Jatin Malhan. Jatin is a goalkeeper for the Rurka Kalan Youth Football Club in Jalandhar district in the Indian state of Punjab. The program empowers and inspires young people to advocate for change in their communities and promote tolerance, community spirit and gender equality through sport and education.
