The striking color is inspired by the flight suits of Navy pilots and the desert landscape around the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station. The technical ceramic used here is created in a sophisticated production process from powdered raw materials, which are shaped and then sintered at high temperatures. To create the unique color tone, zirconium dioxide is mixed with other metal oxides in a precisely defined mixing ratio. The dark brown, muted dial and sand-coloured rubber strap with textile insert perfectly match the case. The 52110 calibre from IWC Schaffhausen ensures precision and durability. The Pellaton automatic winding system has been reinforced with ceramic components and creates a power reserve of seven days in two crowns - more than enough for longer missions.
