Description
In the rich history of rock music, few names have made such a consistent impact as Queen. With a career spanning more than five decades, the band is one of the most successful in the world of all time. During this time, Queen became the embodiment of the power of musical creativity, with most of their songs staying at the top of the charts for weeks. They created their own musical universe, a combination of hard rock, glam rock, pop, funk, and opera, breaking down the boundaries between genres. Inspired by the 1991 album Greatest Hits II, Montblanc pays homage to one of Queen's most successful albums with the Great Characters Homage to Queen Special Edition. The edition reflects the striking colour combination of the Greatest Hits II double LP and is available in dark blue with gold-plated fittings. The crown worn by Mercury during the final performance of God Save The Queen inspired the silhouette of the cap top of the special edition and is also a metaphor for the majestic character of the band and its musical legacy. The gold-plated clip is designed to resemble a microphone stand, which is one of Freddie Mercury's signature features in live performances.
